This was the perfect location for their Colorado mountain engagement photos. I was so happy when this beautiful couple wanted to hike to this spot! This location shows off some of the best views and landscapes I’ve seen in the Colorado foothills.
Colorado Engagement Photos in Cheyenne Mountain
When Adele first reached out to me, I was SO stoked that they wanted to hike to their special spot at this beautiful location! I always get excited when a couple wants to do a little hiking for their session. This almost always means two things: more privacy and space for intimate moments, and epic views.
I met these two at a trailhead in Colorado Springs on a gorgeous September day. We began the 1.8 mile hike up, and were greeted with incredible mountain views of the peaks in the distance. The feeling after conquering a hike is always amazing, but when you get to take in views like this with an adorable couple? It’s sooo much better! We were the only people at the summit the entire time which was an added bonus.
We explored the different rock formations and just took in the beautiful scenery. Adele and Steven looked perfect in both of their outfits and were seriously a blast to photograph! The light this day also blew my mind in the best way. The mountain colors started off as a shade of blue and green, and as the sun fell behind the mountains, they turned into a deeper green. When the light was nearly gone, we started our hike back down guided by headlamps, the stars, and the moon.
