Taylor and Gage’s Boulder Colorado adventure engagement session was a DREAM. Is there anything better than a beautiful summer day in Colorado?! The grass and mountains were a vibrant green from all of the snow from the previous months, and the crisp mountain air was just amazing to breathe in. The purple and yellow wildflowers were in full bloom and the sun was shining bright. There’s something SO wonderful about this kind of atmosphere. If everyday could be summer in Colorado, I wouldn’t be too mad about it!
I knew Taylor because we went to the same high school in Pennsylvania. So when she reached out to me that her and Gage were coming to Colorado and wanted me to photograph their engagement session, I was beyond excited! We started the short hike through the trees to this incredible viewpoint that showcases the Boulder foothills, with the mountains in the distance. The rock formations, the trees, and the 360 degree views are just unreal. Boulder is truly one of my favorite locations for adventure sessions!
I absolutely LOVED photographing these two. I had so much fun capturing their personalities, and I loved that Taylor wore her white converse and glasses later on. What made their session even more special was the incredible sunset! In my experience, Colorado doesn’t usually have a ‘golden hour’. But on this day, the sun was shining a BRIGHT orange red as it started to fall behind the mountains. It was so beautiful!! Honestly though, an awesome sunset wasn’t even needed because these two were so beautiful together and the highlight of it all. 🙂
