Marisa and Erich’s The Lodge at Breckenridge Elopement
After photographing Marisa and Erich’s emotional proposal in Rocky Mountain National Park the year prior, I knew I was going to have the BEST time documenting their Lodge at Breckenridge elopement! These two are so kind-hearted, loving, and their day was the perfect mix of intimate wedding meets adventure elopement.
I absolutely love the Lodge at Breckenridge for Colorado elopements and intimate weddings. They have elopement specific packages which are perfect for couples who only want to rent the space for a short period of time, or to simply use the wedding deck. The deck offers STUNNING mountain views with total privacy. It’s the perfect space for couples looking to get married in Colorado surrounded by a small group of friends and family. It’s very easily accessible, and you can use rentals like chairs, tables, and a ceremony arch. You truly cannot beat those mountain views!
Photographing Marisa and Erich’s wedding ceremony was one for the books. They read the most heart felt vows to each other, and you could FEEL the love flowing between them. I think every single person there was in tears! It was so emotional, in the best of ways, and I’m honored to have photographed such a wonderful moment in their lives. After their ceremony, they signed their marriage license and had their first dance on the deck. I love how their families watched from inside! We then went inside the lodge to eat dinner and cut cake.
Breckenridge Elopement Adventure
After that, we headed to one of my favorite alpine lakes for their bride and groom photos. We hiked to two beautiful alpine lakes, explored a small forest, and watched an incredible sunset from a rocky overlook. During this time, we noticed a BEAR all the way off in the distance, climbing over the rocks. It was far enough away that we felt safe, but it was crazy cool to see! I loved that even in September, there were still wildflowers to see.
We went back to the Lodge at Breckenridge where Erich and Marisa danced and finished off the night celebrating with their loved ones. It was truly an incredible day for their Colorado elopement!
