Boulder Colorado Engagement Photos

Michael and Doug’s Colorado winter engagement photos were taken in the snowy mountains of beautiful Boulder. It snowed a good bit the two previous days to their session, and we were so lucky with a stunning sunset and a perfect snowy landscape!

These two had just moved to Colorado, and this was their first real winter experience in the snow. Can you imagine a better setting for your first snow experience? Their session took place at Lost Gulch Overlook, a popular (for good reason) mountain location with a view that will take your breath away. The rocks, trees, and mountains were completely covered in snow, making it a truly gorgeous winter wonderland experience. These two embraced the cold and it was absolute magic!

Photographing this couple is an experience I won’t ever forget. Michael and Doug have the most positive, infectious type of energy where you can’t help but smile so big witnessing the love they have for one another. I truly adore this type of love (yes, I’m a hopeless romantic). They were all smiles, constantly laughing, and truly had so much fun together during their session. I remember my cheeks hurting from smiling so much – that’s the type of incredible energy and love they have for one another! And then the most beautiful moment happened when Michael got down on one knee, right in the snow, and proposed to Doug. I’m honored to have witnessed and captured such a loving and special moment between them.

They took in the gorgeous mountain views, played around in the snow, popped champagne, and it was a BLAST. Can we also acknowledge their amazing outfits?! They absolutely nailed their winter outfits, hence the reason I had to throw in some individual photos, ha!

Yes, this was the absolute best reaction I could have ever received! Words of affirmation is my love language and I love nothing more than seeing my couples beyond happy with their galleries. The reality is that *I* feel like the luckiest photographer in the world to consistently work with the best and most loving couples. 🙂 Michael and Doug’s Colorado winter engagement photos were truly a dream!
