Boulder Colorado Engagement Photos in the Mountains

Haley and Nathan’s Boulder Colorado engagement photos took place on a gorgeous October day. We had the kind of stunning weather you can only hope for this time of year with a breath-taking sunset! Nathan was living in Denver, and Haley was visiting from Charleston as a travel nurse. Because of Haley’s job, these two get to travel together frequently to beautiful places. So, it only makes sense that their engagement photos were captured in this gorgeous location, and I’m so glad they were down for the short hike!

Their engagement session started out with brighter lighting that really showed off the beautiful blues and greens of the foothills in the background. Then, they changed outfits and we had a beautiful orange glow for sunset which looked amazing with Haley’s gorgeous red gown! I’ve noticed it’s not a common thing to have a true ‘golden hour’ here in Colorado. So, I was ecstatic to see all of that orange shining off the mountains and onto them! After that beautiful glow went away and the sun dipped behind the mountain, they had time to change one more time. And thank goodness for that, because this had to be my favorite outfits! Of course they looked incredible together, and the beautiful colors of the landscape blended with Nathan’s blue suit jacket and Haley’s white dress amazingly.
